Our story
On a breezy Spring evening in New York, five high school friends gathered for dinner in a cozy apartment. The host, always known for her culinary flair, had prepared a spread that was as inviting as it was delicious. But the star of the meal was something unexpected – a tangy, homemade Apple Pickle (Achar) that she served alongside her dishes.
As soon as the friends tasted it, their eyes lit up. “This is really good! You should sell them,” one exclaimed, echoing the sentiments of the others.
Laughter and excitement filled the room as the conversation took off. What if they started a small business? What if they could share homemade, organic, global, and environmentally-friendly products with the world? The idea, at first lighthearted, quickly started to make sense. Each friend brought their own unique skills, backgrounds, and dreams to the table.
Then, as a joke, someone said, “How about we call this venture – MANAF? It means ‘Elevate’ in Arabic. Plus, our first names’ initials make up the word MANAF!” For a moment, there was silence. Then, in perfect unison, everyone said, “Yes!”
And just like that, in a sunlit apartment filled with laughter, good food, and the warmth of friendship, MANAF was born – a company with a mission to elevate homemade food and global flavors, while caring for the planet and celebrating their roots.
